银河麒麟操作系统（简称Kylin）是由国防科技大学、中软公司、联想公司、浪潮公司和民族恒星公司五家单位合作研制的服务器操作系统。按照麒麟官方的说法：“Kylin服务器操作系统是国家863计划的重大研究成果，拥有完全自主版权的内核，与Linux在应用上二进制兼容，并支持64位，是中国独立研发成功的、具有完全自主知识产权的服务器操作系统，通过中国人民解放军信息安全测评认证中心的认证，是军内唯一军B＋级安全认证的操作系统。”然而，DanceFire的一篇文章却在提醒我们：麒麟操作系统内核与FreeBSD5.3内核的相似性达到了99.45%。
不管怎样，我还是先在VMware虚拟机上安装了一下Kylin2.1服务器版试试。感觉启动时有点慢，至于稳定性，我未作进一步测试。桌面和易用性都不错，截图如下：

It’s amusing to see the hype around Galaxy Kylin OS when its kernel is so closely related to FreeBSD. It may be stable for desktops, but calling it a "completely independent" system is a stretch. Maybe they should take notes from Pokerogue and Pokerogue Dex on true innovation!
